Classy-looking acoustic guitar with standard dreadnought body shape that delivers plenty of volume and rich, full sound, ideal for all-around players and any playing style. Back and sides of the instrument made of mahogany wood are combined with solid spruce top to produce a rich, resonant sound. Slim mahogany neck is fitted with 12”-radius rosewood/ovankgol fingerboard. Instrument also features synthetic bone nut with width of 42.8 mm and split saddle of the pin-les rosewood/ovankgol bridge, rosewood/ovankgol headcap, pearloid rosette and dot inlays, and chrome die-cast tuners. Black colour design with gloss finish.

Top

Top: Solid Spruce

The solid spruce top offers clear, penetrating tone with exceptional projection. The sound is dynamic and balanced, with rich highs and solid bass. Over time, the tone evolves and improves, adding more depth and complexity to the sound.

Neck

Neck: Mahogany

The guitar features a mahogany neck for excellent strength and stability. Mahogany is known for its great resonance, contributing to a warm, rich tone with a distinctive mid-range.

Finish

Finish: Polished

The glossy finish gives any surface an elegant and luxurious look. This type of finish is achieved by applying several layers of lacquer or resin, which are then polished to a high gloss. This provides a smooth, reflective finish, enhancing color and structure of substrate. The glossy finish not only improves aesthetics, but also protects against dust, moisture and minor scratches.

Recommends a product

I'm deciding between it and the CORT MR500 E but the Takamine has a clearer and more punchy sound and the CORT MR500 E has a softer softer -not as articulate punchy tone but they are both great. I don't know which one to keep. And I discussed the instrument with Miroslava - great negotiation from her at MUZIKER.

Pluses: Probably the material and that it's semi-massive Probably the material and that it's semi-massive. Clear-clear strong tone. Great guitar. Compared to the CORT MR500 E, it's a little harder to play but plays great.

Cons: nice sounding Maybe harder when playing on the fingerboard but maybe it's just the factory type strings but it plays great !!!

Disappointing. Loud sound but indistinct, chords blend into each other when "strumming", it's loud but it's not articulate, distinct playing. Better than this guitar is my three year old Yamaha F310 MKII. That one is plywood, but it sounds great (in the heat -when it's not cold). Also, my 18 year old Stagg SW201 N is better sounding and it has 18 year old strings and is all plywood. Otherwise, that Takamine is a beautiful instrument to look at. I'm not a virtuoso but maybe I'm wrong in my assessment. I'm sorry for the money I'll give for shipping back - return.
