3/4 Size Classical Guitars
The three-quarters size classic guitars are an excellent choice for children aged 8 to 11 and whose body height is between 130 and 150 cm. This type of guitar is smaller than a full size, making the instrument easier to hold and control. Thanks to the shorter scale (fretboard), children or shorter people can reach the frets more easily. Despite its smaller body, the three-quarter guitar delivers a rich, clear sound.
When choosing a three-quarter guitar, it is also important to pay attention to the materials from which the guitar is made. For beginners, an instrument with a high-quality laminated plywood body that is durable and sufficiently durable is appropriate. More advanced players can choose a semi-solid or solid version, which offers a fuller sound but requires more care. Three-quarter guitars are popular among children learning to play classical guitar, and are often used in music schools. Although smaller, they allow players to develop proper playing technique without feeling overwhelmed or fatigued by the size of the instrument.
But smaller sizes exist such as quarter, half or full-size guitars, which might be suitable for other age groups.
