Hollow-body electric guitar with two “F” holes from Artcore series that was introduced in 2002 and is respected for its tone, sustain and the way it holds its tuning. This ‘Expressionist’ model is equipped with the Ibanez original, passive Super 58 pickups with Alnico magnets – the preferred pickups of George Benson, Pat Metheny and John Scofield on their own Ibanez signature models. These pickups are jazz favourites but perform well in a variety of situations, delivering the smooth, nuanced tones and the biting growl of blues. The instrument features thinner, 67mm deep body with top, back and sides made of quilted maple. The Expressionist 3-piece mahogany/maple set-in neck is fitted with a bound rosewood fingerboard with medium frets, 305mm radius and acrylic block inlays. Scale length is 628 mm, nut width is 43 mm. Other features include an ART-1 bridge with Quik Change III tailpiece for faster and easier string changing, black pickguard, gold hardware and strings with gauges .010/.013/.017/.030/.042/.052.
