Vater VHFW American Hickory Fusion Drumsticks
American Hickory Fusion Wood Tip Drumsticks. Between a 5A & 5B in grip with a small round tip for cymbal clarity. Hickory is the most popular wood used for making drumsticks. Hickory is denser, heavier and more rigid than Maple. Hickory can also absorb a great amount of shock, which reduces hand and wrist fatigue. Dark, or "brown" hickory, is found closer to the tree's center and is slightly denser and heavier than "white" hickory.
Material: Hickory
Known for its excellent balance of strength, flexibility, and shock absorption, hickory is the most common wood used for drumsticks. It provides a natural feel and is ideal for a wide range of musical styles.
Shape: Round
Round tips generate a bright, focused tone and are known for their clarity on both drums and cymbals. They are ideal for styles that require definition and clean articulation.
Tip: Wood
Wood tips are the most common and offer a bright, articulate sound with strong attack. The type of wood and shape of the tip affect the tone, making them versatile for many styles.
