Zaor MIZA Griprack MKII 4 Black Oak Studio furniture

Compact 4U Desktop Outboard Rack for Hybrid Studios

The Zaor Miza Griprack MKII 4 Black Oak is a 4-space, 19-inch desktop outboard rack designed for producers, mixers and home-studio owners who need their hardware within arm's reach. Unlike a full-size floor rack, this model sits directly on the work surface and clamps in place, freeing up the floor while keeping preamps, compressors and audio interfaces immediately accessible. The Miza Griprack MKII 4 is the right choice for hybrid studio owners who want to expand their outboard chain without committing to a permanent studio furniture build.

What Sets This Rack Apart

Most desktop racks either bolt through the desk or rely on bulky stands — the Miza Griprack MKII 4 uses a clamp-style tightening mechanism that grips desktops up to 35 mm thick without piercing the surface. The top of the unit is lined with a foam pad, so a computer monitor or pair of near-field speakers can sit directly on the rack without vibration transfer or scratches. Together, these details turn a simple 4U holder into a hybrid workspace anchor that grows with the rest of the Miza system.

Technical Specifications — Built for Real Studio Loads

The dimensions and rack capacity below are the ones that matter when planning a hybrid workspace: how much gear fits, and how much desk space it consumes.

• Rack Format: 19-inch rackmount, 4U — fits standard pro-audio outboard gear
• Width: 561 mm — narrow enough to flank a monitor or sit beneath a screen
• Height: 318 mm — keeps the rack below eye line on a standard desk
• Depth: 460 mm — accommodates deeper 1U and 2U units without overhang
• Desk Compatibility: clamps to desktops up to 35 mm thick
• Finish: Black Oak laminate

Who the Miza Griprack MKII 4 Is Built For

This rack is built for producers and engineers running hybrid setups that mix in-the-box production with a small chain of analogue outboard — a stereo bus compressor, a couple of preamps, an audio interface, or a monitor controller. The 4U capacity is enough for a focused recording or mixing rig without crowding the desk, and the foam-padded top means a single screen or a pair of small monitors can sit on the unit itself. Because it pairs with the Miza Junior Flex, Miza M FLEX and Miza Z FLEX desks, it is also a natural upgrade path for anyone already invested in the Zaor ecosystem. Home-studio owners who want their gear visible, reachable and properly ventilated will get the most out of this form factor.

About Zaor Studio Furniture

Zaor Studio Furniture was founded by a piano builder, a carpenter and a sound engineer who shared a single goal: making studio furniture that looks as good as it functions. The company designs and builds its products at its own factory in Salard, Romania, and ships across Europe and beyond. The Miza line is Zaor's flagship modular family, and the Griprack MKII 4 is the compact desktop extension of that ecosystem — built to the same fit-and-finish standards as the larger Miza desks and racks.
