This mini keyboard is actually a compromise, because there are not many similar devices to choose from. I bought it for my son to practice on, so that he would have a compact gear when he doesn't want to sit at a standard keyboard. The workmanship and build quality is of a good standard. What bothers me is that it doesn't have stereo speakers, which would be more sonically pleasing, this way it is miserable- this may be due to battery saving and manufacturing costs. The keyboard keys could be wider, full width (these are scaled down from a standard keyboard) to mimic a keyboard when practicing. The sound is standard, nothing exceptional, maybe even slightly below par. The dynamics of the keys are unusable. Then again, it's a Yamaha, so it's weak, I was expecting more.
