White Lion is an American glam metal band founded in New York City in 1983 by vocalist Mike Tramp and guitarist Vito Bratta. Gaining popularity in the late 1980s with hits like Wait and When the Children Cry, the band reached double platinum status with the album Pride. Known for their melodic hard rock sound, White Lion continued to release successful albums before disbanding in 1992. Mike Tramp later revived the band with new lineups, releasing new music and live albums, including Return of the Pride in 2008. In recent years, Tramp has celebrated the band's legacy with a series of albums revisiting White Lion's classic songs.
