The Wombats are an indie rock band from Liverpool, formed in 2003. The group features Matthew Murphy on vocals, guitar, and keyboards, Tord Overland Knudsen on bass and keyboards, and Dan Haggis on drums and keyboards. Known for their energetic sound and witty lyrics, The Wombats first gained attention with early EPs before releasing their debut album in Japan, followed by their major-label breakout with A Guide to Love, Loss and Desperation. They built on this success with albums like This Modern Glitch, Glitterbug, and Beautiful People Will Ruin Your Life. In 2022, their album Fix Yourself, Not the World reached number one on the UK Albums Chart.
