The Orchestra Model shape, with its strong lower midrange and versatile dynamics, is enjoying a resurgence. This guitar model matches a solid cedar top to solid Hawaiian Koa back and sides to create a harmonic richness and dynamic playing experience. The 12th fret is adorned with a sun setting behind a palm tree on a deserted island. The instrument features a fully bound body and a rosewood fingerboard. The mahogany neck is joined to the body with a traditional, ultra strong dovetail joint. The guitar is equipped with Takamine’s proprietary CTP-3 Cool Tube preamp system paired with the unique Palathetic under-saddle pickup for peerless amplified response. The dual-channel system provides low-voltage tube tone, variable from bright and brilliant to thick and warm, three band EQ with semi-parametric midrange, auxiliary input and volume (for use when a second pickup is added), and an onboard chromatic tuner.
