Rebecca Lucy Taylor, known professionally as Self Esteem, is an English musician, songwriter, and actress. After rising to prominence as part of the duo Slow Club, she began a successful solo career in 2017. Her albums include Compliments Please, Prioritise Pleasure, and A Complicated Woman. Recognised for her dynamic artistry as a multi-instrumentalist and composer, she won the BBC Music Introducing Artist of the Year Award in 2021 and received a Mercury Prize nomination. Taylor has also starred as Sally Bowles in the West End production of Cabaret.
