Compact and portable stereo amplifier with a total output of 50 W that features an innovative Roland technology, and infuses the popular mobile amp CUBE Street with a huge performance upgrade, ideal for travelling musicians or street artists. It features a full-range stereo speaker system with dual 8” woofers and dual 2” tweeters for clean, punchy sound; 4 independent channels for connecting a variety of microphones, instruments or audio devices; on-board COSM amp tones for electric guitar (including Clean, Crunch and Lead) and clean, naturally sounding pre-amp for acoustic guitar; and detailed sound adjustment with separate EQ and effect controls. Lightweight design with durable ABS injection-moulded cabinet with angled back allows using the device as a stage monitor, while mounting hole allows using it with a speaker stand. Amplifier is equipped with two XLR mix inputs that allow two vocalists to perform at once, stereo line out jacks for connecting to an external sound system when used as a stage monitor, stereo link in jacks for connecting a second CUBE Street EX for broader sound coverage. Built-in i-CUBE LINK and free CUBE JAM app interface allow easy recording into the iPhone/iPad. Amplifier can be powered by 8 AA or rechargeable batteries or AC adaptor, and features selectable output power modes for optimizing battery life for different performing situations. AC adaptor, power cord and mini-cable with 4-pole miniature phone type jack are all included. Dimensions: 490 x 341 x 305 mm. Weight: 7.4 kg.

Roland CUBE Street EX Solid-State Combo

Pros: Overall good sound (covering basic needs), portable, versatile but still easy to handle, there are a lot of useful options, no bullshit, channels really do what they promise they would. Cons: Lack of foot switch even so it has the two inputs for that purpose (apparently the one by Rolland does not even exist - in forums people recommend the one by Boss), rechargeable batteries not included (street playing / being autonomous is the main selling point after all), tone is not really at the top of the game if you are used to a serious guitar tube amp. Wishing: If it had its own bluetooth system - all could be little sweeter I would still recommend it to a variety of players with various needs.
