Nux Time Core Deluxe MKII Guitar Effect
The NUX TIME CORE DELUXE MKII is a comprehensive delay pedal offering 7 different delay types and a versatile phrase looper. It provides a wide array of sonic possibilities, from classic echoes to experimental soundscapes, along with practical features for live performance and creative exploration.
- 7 Delay Types:Select your desired delay type using the Type rotary switch.
- ΦPhi Digital Delay: A unique digital delay featuring a "golden ratio" 2nd repeat head, designed to make your guitar sound more musical. Offers easy tweaking for desired sub-division and Smart Tap Tempo. Range: 80ms~1000ms.
- Analog Delay: Based on the timeless BBD (Bucket Brigade Device) delay, producing a warm sound with natural treble decay, ideal for romantic ballad solos. Features a unique algorithm that replicates physical infinity oscillation feedback when quickly adjusting the time knob from max to min. Range: 40ms~403ms.
- Modulation Delay: Inspired by the Ibanez DML modulation delay, delivering lush and rich chorus sounds. Holding the footswitch enters Alt mode (LED flashes ORANGE), allowing the Repeat knob to adjust the Mod parameter. Range: 20ms~1500ms.
- Tape Echo: Digitally recreates the retro-feel of a legendary Space Echo machine, with high-frequency saturation and low-end decay of magnetic tape. Gently modulated for added richness and color. Quickly adjusting the time knob from max to min triggers infinity feedback. Range: 55ms~552ms.
- Pan Delay: Moves a mono signal across the stereo field with "gourmet" panning, offering interesting imaging possibilities that feel natural or extreme depending on desired sonic ear-candy within headphones. Range: 80ms~1000ms.
- Verb Delay: Combines a Plate Reverb algorithm with Digital Delay to create an ambient atmosphere. Holding the footswitch enters Alt mode to adjust the Verb parameter via the Repeat knob. Range: 80ms~1000ms.
- Reverse Delay: A classic effect made popular by Jimi Hendrix, inspiring new sonic possibilities by playing a guitar part backwards. Range: 320ms~1240ms.
- S.O.S (Sound On Sound) Looper: A 40-second stereo phrase looper for practice and creative ideas. In playback, you can exit S.O.S mode to select another delay mode and use its effect without interrupting the loop playback.
- Intuitive User Interface & Controls:
- Time Knob: Adjusts the delay time. Set to your desired sub-division for Smart Tap Tempo. Maximum delay time is 1580ms by Smart Tap Tempo.
- Mix Knob: Adjusts the wet/dry mix level of the delay, from 0% to 100% clockwise.
- Delay Type Knob: Selects the delay algorithm.
- Repeat Knob: Adjusts the number of repeats. In Mod.D or Verb modes, holding the footswitch enters Alt mode (LED flashes ORANGE) to adjust Mod or Verb parameters via this knob.
- Toggle Switch Functions:This switch sets the bypass mode and Tone Lock.
- Tail: Sets Buffer-Bypass to keep delay spillover when disengaged.
- TB (True-Bypass): No spillover when disengaged.
- T.Lock (Tone Lock): Innovatively stores and locks current parameter settings to prevent accidental changes on stage. The LED indicator flashes GREEN 2 times to confirm.
- Footswitch & FS Indicator: Press once to engage/disengage the effect. Press twice for Smart Tap Tempo (FS indicator flashes as current BPM). When engaged, the FS indicator is Red; when disengaged, it's off. In S.O.S mode, it functions as a looper pedal (RED for REC, GREEN for PLAY, ORANGE for OVERDUB).
- Kill Dry Function: Provides fully processed signals without any dry signal, useful for parallel FX loops. To engage Kill Dry without USB connection, hold the footswitch while powering up; LED flashes GREEN 3 times for engaged, RED 3 times for disengaged (Normal).
- I/O Jacks:
- In Jacks (1/4" TS): Standard mono input. Accepts stereo signals with a pair of 1/4" TS cables.
- Out Jacks (1/4" TS): Standard mono outputs. Connect to the next device with a single cable or a pair of 1/4" cables for stereo.
- Power & Connectivity:
- DC Jack: Requires 9V Negative Tip power with more than 150mA (power consumption less than 125mA).
- USB-C Port: For firmware updates. Connect USB cable to PC and hold footswitch to enter DFU mode.
- Connections: Can be connected to an amp's input or FX loop. Kill Dry must be engaged for parallel FX loops.
Тype: Delay
Delay is an effect that repeats the audio signal with a set time delay. It creates echoes or repetitions that can sound natural or noticeably processed. It is used to enrich the sound, add a sense of space, or build atmosphere. Delay is commonly used in solos as well as in sound experiments across various musical styles.
