Mike + The Mechanics is a British rock supergroup formed in 1985 by Mike Rutherford of Genesis during a break from his main band. Known for hits like Silent Running, All I Need Is a Miracle, Taken In, The Living Years, Word of Mouth, and Over My Shoulder, the band originally featured Rutherford alongside vocalists Paul Carrack and Paul Young, keyboardist Adrian Lee, and drummer Peter Van Hooke. Over time, several members departed, with Paul Carrack leading vocals until the group paused in 2004. Mike + The Mechanics returned in 2010 with a new lineup, including vocalists Andrew Roachford and Tim Howar, continuing to build on their legacy of melodic and soulful rock music.
