Mapex Versatus 14" Peach Burl Burst Snare Drum
Designed by Russ Miller, the "Versatus" Maple/Mahogany Hybrid shell, offers a "Naturally Pre-Processed" sound with just the right amount of Low-End, articulation and punch. A single SAS Ring on the batter side only, a unique bearing edge combination and the ideal depth/size proportion, all contribute to the perfect balance of strength, functionality, feel and beauty for all playing situations.
Series: Black Panther Design Lab
The Black Panther Design Lab series showcases innovative craftsmanship with shells made from exotic and experimental materials - like brass, lacquered birch, and stainless steel - to deliver bold, unique tones. Engineered for discerning players, these snares offer crisp articulation, powerful projection, and custom looks that stand out on any stage.

The number of layers affects the overall resonance, sustain, and tonal qualities of the drums. With 7 layers, the sound becomes even more focused, providing a deeper low-end response and a tighter midrange, while maintaining smooth and controlled high frequencies.
