Interfejs nedokáže preniesť dlhšie MIDI SysEx správy (dlhšiu MIDI správu poškodí) a takisto nedokáže správne prijímať real-time MIDI povely (napr. MIDI Time Code), namiesto toho vytvorí zhluk úplne vadných dát. Túto vadu hlásilo už viac užívateľov. Pre tých, ktorí chcú s MIDI pracovať serióznejšie, tento interface určite neodporúčam. Vraj má podobné problémy aj súčasná verzia Midisport 4x4.
