This is a beautiful instrument full of really nice features but it loses out due to an unusually badly sprung/unweighted keybed. The sounds are very impressive and some have extra nuances but something is missing. I also have a Yamaha Genos and Roland V-Piano. Neither the Genos nor the PA4x can touch the V-Piano for either sound, power, realism or keybed feel. If the PA4x has a poor keybed then the Yamaha Genos is shocking because the keys are not full size and neither are are they weighted. But somehow, the spring action is more pleasing on the Genos. Again nothing like the V-Piano though! Sounds wise, both the PA4x and the Genos have very high quality, non looped samples. But somehow, the Genos adds dynamic additions better than the PA4x. As you play a steel guitar for example, without reaching for any buttons, the Genos seems to decide in a pleasing way, where to add fretting whereas the PA4x seems to need help so you need you use left had to quickly press 1 of 3 buttons near the joystick or quickly move the joystick. In summary, PA4x is cheaper than Yamaha Genos. I think it is a fine instrument let down by the keybed which at best, they are full size keys. It has a lovely Piano on par at least with Genos but not like a V-Piano nor the real think. The other sounds are nice too but a little more difficult to get nuances than it is on Genos. In terms of Styles, both are good and not much to decide between them. I do have an older arranger module, a Roland BK7-m which I got 2nd hand for €300 and I was surprised neither of these very expensive arrangers are much of an improvement on that module for styles but both have superior samples and nuances... although the drums on BK7-M hold their own.
