New Multitouch Keyboard

The NTS-1 mkII features a new 18-key multitouch keyboard, replacing the ribbon controller in the first generation. This allows for precise playing and sequencing, and it also enables the NTS-1 to send polyphonic MIDI data, opening the door to paraphonic potential for custom synths and effects.

The Center of Your Performance

In addition to the powerful arpeggiator, the new 8-step sequencer unlocks a world of musical possibilities. With live and step recording modes (with gate length and velocity settings for each note), the NTS-1 mkII, combined with the new keyboard and octave switch, offers intuitive and seamless playability.

The NTS-1 mkII also eliminates the fear of suddenly forgetting creative ideas. Thanks to the new autosave function, it recalls all parameters of the last performance—including step sequencer data—so you can immediately pick up where you left off. Gone are the days of having to set everything up again after a restart.

And that's not all: the NTS-1 mkII offers MIDI output, which means its internal sequencer can be used to control other sound generators in your setup!

Powerful New Synthesis, Sounds, and Effects

The NTS-1 mkII is an extremely powerful and flexible synth that is simply fun to play. While retaining the versatility of its predecessor, this reinterpretation allows you to create a vast array of new sounds, including new oscillator types and modulation options, such as using the AUDIO-IN signal as a modulation source for FM, AM, or RING sounds.

The NTS-1 mkII is also an incredibly powerful and expandable effects unit. There are a plethora of new modulation (distortion, fuzz...), delay (tape delay, BPM delay...), and reverb effects available, as well as the handy "Oscillator OFF" and "Filter THRU" functions, making it a uniquely versatile sound designer that excels on stage and in the studio.

Expanded Connectivity

Integrating the NTS-1 mkII into your existing setup is now easier than ever! In addition to the SYNC IN/OUT and MIDI IN jacks, there is now a new MIDI OUT jack, allowing for seamless connection and expanded playability with other devices. Most NTS-1 mkII parameters are also MIDI-CC compatible, enabling even greater control options.

Power is now supplied via a USB-C connection.

Even More Fun with the DIY Kit

The new NTS-1 mkII retains the DIY kit format of the original, but offers even more customization options thanks to double-sided metal side panels that are silver on one side and metallic black on the other. Despite this, the original shape and dimensions of its predecessor have been retained, so already-made custom side panels, stands, and other custom parts will still fit.
