Korg microKORG2 Synthesizer Grey
A True Classic – Reborn
One of the most iconic synthesizers in music history, the microKORG revolutionized the industry with its unique design and distinctive sounds, quickly becoming an industry standard for musicians worldwide. Its legacy spans more than 20 years, appearing on countless hit productions and live concerts. Beloved by musicians, sound engineers, producers, and enthusiasts alike, the microKORG now takes a major evolutionary step – more powerful, versatile, and even more impressive in sound.
Uncompromising User Experience
The new microKORG retains iconic features such as the practical form factor, an easy-to-use mini keyboard, a large rotary knob for genre selection, and a vocoder with a dedicated microphone, while offering an entirely reworked, versatile sound engine with many more programs, a visually appealing interface, and much more.
Enhanced Voice Processing
The original microKORG was famous for its user-friendly vocoder and microphone. The new microKORG advances this concept with a powerful voice processor that, in addition to vocoder effects, offers hard-tune and harmonizer functions along with additional effects like hall and delay. A built-in loop recorder is ideal for spontaneous jam sessions in the studio, rehearsal, or on stage.
Create and Innovate
A dedicated arpeggiator and the loop recorder allow for the creation of vast soundscapes and exploration of new sonic territories. The innovative bank and category selection system organizes sounds into “Classical”, “Modern”, and “Future” contexts, each containing eight categories with eight programs, plus a user bank with 64 memory slots for custom sounds.
Iconic Design, Reimagined
The classic microKORG design endures with its familiar form, green-marked control surface, and distinctive knobs, but now updated with a modern 2.8" color LCD display for intuitive editing and precise feedback. The display even offers an oscilloscope view for visualizing sound changes. A refined, elegant finish with metallic accents and sandblasted side panels creates a robust yet striking aesthetic.
Take Your Sound Anywhere
Despite its compact dimensions, the new microKORG is highly portable – measuring only 54.2 cm wide and weighing 2.1 kg (without batteries and microphone). It can be powered via the included AC adapter or with six AA batteries, ensuring performance virtually anywhere.
Comprehensive Software Bundle
The new microKORG comes with a selection of music software, including iZotope’s Ozone Elements for mastering with AI assistance, a trial subscription to Skoove piano teaching software, and various software instruments from KORG and other manufacturers. This bundle offers a versatile range of tools to elevate musical creativity.
Number of Keys: 37
This instrument has 37 keys, equivalent to 3 octaves, providing a wide range of tones for a variety of musical applications.
Keyboard Type: Touch Sensitive
Touch Sensitive is a key technology that allows digital keyboard instruments to respond to the force of the stroke, i.e. the dynamics of playing. The harder you press, the louder the sound.

LFO: Yes
An LFO, or low frequency oscillator, brings electronic sound to life. It adds movement and interest to synthetic sounds and effects, playing an important role in both subtle synthesis and bold sound design. However, you won't hear the LFO itself because it acts as a modulator. This means that it does not directly affect the audio signal, but adjusts other parameters such as oscillator pitch and filter clipping.
Envelope: Yes
The Envelope filter gives you precise control over the dynamics and shape of the sound. This filter provides greater flexibility in adjusting and customizing sound characteristics, enhancing the overall quality and expressiveness of the performance.
Oscillators: 3
This three-oscillator synthesizer offers a wide range of sonic possibilities and creative expression. With three oscillators, users can experiment with harmonic interactions, adjust the frequencies and amplitudes of individual oscillators, and create composite sounds that combine different textures and colors.
Pitch Bend: Yes
The Pitch Bend allows smooth pitch changes, adding expressiveness to musical expression. Often used to create effects such as glissando or vibrato, this feature allows the player to make subtle or dramatic changes to the sound in real time. Pitch bend allows musicians to create smooth transitions between notes, increasing the dynamics and expressiveness of their performances.
Modulation: Yes
Modulation allows you to change different aspects of the sound in real time, opening up a wide range of creative possibilities. For example, it can affect the pitch of the sound, creating a vibrato effect, or it can change the amplitude of the signal, creating a tremolo effect. It can also adjust filtering to create smooth transitions between frequency bands and dynamic textures. Modulation can also be used to change the character of the sound depending on the time or intensity of playing, giving the sound a lively and moving character.
Arpeggiator: Yes
The Arpeggiator transforms chords into sequences of individual notes played in various rhythmic and melodic patterns. Instead of playing the chords as a harmonic whole, the Arpeggiator breaks the chords into individual notes and plays them sequentially according to the selected algorithm.

The pedal input allows you to connect an external pedal that expands the instrument's control capabilities and contributes to a richer musical expression, increasing flexibility and expressiveness when playing and creating music.
Microphone Input: Yes
The microphone input allows direct connection of a microphone for recording or amplifying voice or instruments.
MIDI Interface: Yes
It supports MIDI, allowing you to connect and communicate with other MIDI-compatible devices. This feature extends control and integration into the larger music environment, increasing flexibility and creativity in music creation.
Battery Operation: Yes
Battery power provides flexibility and mobility. This feature allows you to use the device anywhere, even in places where an electrical outlet is not available. Battery power is ideal for situations that require portability and independence from the grid, whether you're outdoors, on the road, or in a location with limited access to electricity.
