Jimmy Eat World is a rock band from Mesa, Arizona, formed in 1993. The group consists of Jim Adkins on vocals and lead guitar, Tom Linton on rhythm guitar and backing vocals, Rick Burch on bass, and Zach Lind on drums. They rose to fame with their 2001 album Bleed American, which included the hit single The Middle. Their 2004 album Futures featured the chart-topping song Pain. Both albums achieved significant commercial success, with Bleed American reaching platinum status and Futures going gold. Known for their energetic alternative rock sound, Jimmy Eat World has released ten studio albums, with their latest, Surviving, arriving in 2019.
