Excellently crafted instrument. The neck is really fast, which surprised me as a long-time more conservative Les Paul and Strat player. The instrument played well even on the transfer strings right out of the box, it fits well in the hand. It may be a little heavier (mahogany), but those who are used to LPs will have no problem. I appreciate the diverse palette of sounds that can be conjured up on the guitar. Both pickups are excellent humbuckers from Di Marzio, but each one is also a little different. When you add the option to disconnect them and get a "single-coil" sound, this is a great choice especially (but not only) for solo guitarists. Although the guitar will do very well with a high gain sound, it also plays beautifully with a clean or slightly distorted sound (tested with VOX AC15 and Marshall Class 5). It is not a one-sided guitar at all, it reminds me of the Luke model from Music Man. The color is very nice, I missed white in my portfolio. I would also add a subtle shimmer to the paint, for me the amount is just pleasing to the eye. Thanks for importing, the Japanese know how!
