The Hagstrom HJ-500 Electric Guitar Black is a 6-string electric guitar featuring a maple top, back, sides and neck, a resinator fretboard, HH pickups and a black finish. The HJ-500 is fitted with Hagstrom's unique H-Expander truss rod, providing tension at both ends and running the entire length of the neck. This rigid yet lightweight truss rod allows for a very low action and thin neck and provides an ultimate neck stability and unique tone. 18:1 gear ratio machine heads are included to ensure accurate tuning. The fretboard is made from resinator wood, which is a composite material that is both more uniform in density and more stable than any standard wood product. It provides a stable and clear tone, and also adds higher overtones and harmonics which uniquely detail each note.
