Claire Elise Boucher, known as Grimes, is a Canadian musician, singer, songwriter, and producer celebrated for her inventive blend of electronic music and unique visual style. Her work often explores science fiction and feminist ideas, matched by elaborate, fantasy-inspired music videos. After beginning her career in Montreal in 2006, she released early albums Geidi Primes and Halfaxa before gaining widespread recognition with Visions in 2012, which featured the acclaimed tracks Genesis and Oblivion and won a Juno Award. Grimes further impressed critics with the album Art Angels in 2015 and released Miss Anthropocene in 2020. Beyond music, she voiced a character in the game Cyberpunk 2077 and appeared as a judge on the show Alter Ego. Grimes has three children with Elon Musk.
