I wanted Leo Fender's last G&L bass, because I already have/had Fender and Musicman basses. The bass was in flawless condition, nice red color. The neck is straight and the strings are fine, no need to sand the ends of the strings. Technically, the bass had to be adjusted, because the microphones are really hot and were too close to the strings, the sound hurt. With the screw adjustments of the MFD microphone, it could not be lowered enough, but the spring had to be removed from under the microphone in order to get it far enough from the strings. After this adjustment, the cracking of the sound stopped. The intonation and height of the strings to suit your playing style also had to be adjusted, but that's usually how it is. This became my second bass for rockers.
