I've changed the pickups on my Stratocaster twice, tried different strings, and never once have I been able to get a proper, rich, clear sound in the lower mids and lows from that guitar. It sounded like "farting in water"... Just strings D, A, E for nothing... That David Gilmour must have been a real "shit"... I used to not be able to listen to the sound of Pink Floyd... And finally it came, my friends... The sound is like a belt... You just need to play around a bit with the distance between the pickups and the strings, because the "factory setting" is so-so. I highly recommend it. You won't recognize your old Stratocaster...
