EAW RSX12 — Compact 12" Self-Powered Subwoofer for Install and Touring

The EAW RSX12 is a flyable, self-powered 12" subwoofer for venues and touring rigs where low-frequency extension is needed but floor space is limited. At 40 kg in a 436.8 mm tall enclosure, it delivers 130 dB max SPL from a single 12" cone driver. Part of EAW's RADIUS family, it pairs signature acoustical design with onboard DSP and Dante networking to streamline setup for rental firms and system integrators.

What Sets the RSX12 Apart

Ultra-wide ports reduce low-frequency turbulence at high output, keeping the cabinet compact without sacrificing clean bass. OptiLogic™ uses onboard infrared sensors and accelerometers for near-instant array optimization, cutting tuning time on site. Integrated Dante with loop-thru and analog redundancy keeps the signal path live even if the digital feed drops.

Driver and Power — 1000W of Class D Headroom

A 12" cone transducer with a 3" voice coil sits in a vented enclosure tuned for tight, musical low end. A modified Class D amplifier delivers 1000W maximum output with integral DSP limiting for driver protection.

The RSX12 covers 40 Hz to 140 Hz, reaching sub-bass fundamentals most full-range systems cannot reproduce on their own. DynO™ preserves a clean impulse response at peak output, while Focusing™ corrects inherent acoustical anomalies for a pristine transient response across the coverage pattern.

The flyable enclosure accepts M10 eyebolts and the FBX100 flybar for flown arrays, with a rear-panel LCD and rotary encoder for local EAWmosaic™ system control.
