A Flock of Seagulls is an English new wave band formed in Liverpool in 1979. Fronted by Mike Score alongside Ali Score, Frank Maudsley, and Paul Reynolds, they rose to global fame in the early 1980s with hits like "I Ran So Far Away", "Space Age Love Song", and "Wishing If I Had a Photograph of You". Known for their distinctive sound and style, they were a major part of the Second British Invasion, with "I Ran" gaining significant MTV airplay. The band earned a Grammy Award in 1983 for their instrumental track "DNA". Decades later, the original members reunited to record orchestral albums Ascension in 2018 and String Theory in 2021 with the Prague Philharmonic Orchestra.
