The Messthetics are an American instrumental trio formed by bassist Joe Lally and drummer Brendan Canty, both formerly of Fugazi, together with guitarist Anthony Pirog. Their sound blends elements of jazz, punk, and improvisational jam, creating a dynamic and experimental musical style.
