Paint by numbers with frame
Paint by numbers with frame kits come with a canvas divided into numbered sections and already stretched over a wooden frame. Once you finish the last section, you can hang your picture straight on the wall, without having to stretch the canvas or take it to a framer. Most of the kits here are from the Czech brand Zuty, with a 40 × 50 cm canvas and designs from films and TV series – Harry Potter, Fantastic Beasts, Batman, Wonder Woman, Looney Tunes and Scooby-Doo. For kits without a frame and more designs, explore the paint by numbers kits.
What comes in a paint by numbers with frame kit?
A Zuty kit contains a pre-printed canvas on a frame, numbered acrylic paints, brushes, a colour reference image and instructions. Newer kits also include a magnifying glass, an uncoloured A3 reference sheet and two hooks for hanging your finished picture. The paints are ready to use, with no thinning needed.
How do you choose a design and difficulty level?
Every Zuty kit has a difficulty level listed. Most are marked very easy, while a few are easy or moderately difficult. If this is your first time painting, start with a very easy kit and save a picture with several characters for later. Characters from favourite films make a thoughtful gift for a fan, and you can find more among the kits with film-inspired designs.
Why paint on a canvas with a frame?
A canvas stretched over a frame stays firm, so you don't need to secure it in place while painting, and you can also rest it on an easel. A kit without a frame comes with just the canvas, which you will need to stretch or have framed once you finish painting. If you're preparing the picture as a gift, the frame saves a step – the finished artwork is ready to hang.
