Magnum Band is a Miami-based kompa band founded by brothers André Pasquet, formerly of Tabou Combo, and Claude Pasquet on June 24, 1976. Rising to prominence in the late seventies in New York’s Haitian club scene, they embarked on their first international tour in 1980. Known for their classic "old school" compas style, Magnum Band has represented Haiti at major events including the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta and the inaugural World Creole Music Festival in 1997. Their decades-long career includes performances across the Caribbean, North America, and Europe, and in 2014 they received the Honneur et Merite award from Radio Television Caraibe. André and Claude Pasquet are also uncles to francophone singer Teri Moïse.
