Jakub Metelka Loutkové divadlo Sheet Music
Loutkové divadlo is a collection of twenty short piano miniatures by Jakub Metelka, written for the youngest pianists with roughly two years of playing experience. Published by Bärenreiter Praha, the book gathers catchy, simply harmonized melodies in song form, each carrying a programmatic fairy-tale title such as Kašpárek, Princezna, or Čaroděj. The open-ended cycle lets teachers and students arrange the pieces into their own puppet-theatre story.
- Twenty piano miniatures in simple song form
- Lighter technical difficulty — ideal for beginners and young learners
- Programmatic titles from the fairy-tale world, illustrated by Andrea Tachezy
- Online audio recordings of every piece performed by the composer
A Fairy-Tale Piano Collection for the Youngest Players
Loutkové divadlo brings together twenty short piano miniatures by Jakub Metelka, written in a simple song form with simply harmonized catchy melodies. Each piece carries a programmatic title from the world of fairy tales — Kašpárek, Princezna, Čaroděj, Rytíř — so children can imagine a story while they play. The open-ended cycle lets students and teachers arrange the miniatures into their own puppet-theatre narrative.
Designed for Beginners, Backed by the Composer
Written for pianists with about two years of study, this is the most accessible title in the composer's catalogue and a natural stepping stone to his album Malý virtuos. Every piece is recorded by the composer and available online, giving young players a model at home. The 24-page book is published by Bärenreiter Praha in Czech, English, and German.
