Ink pads

Here you'll find ink pads from French brand Aladine's Izink range. Choose from quick-drying, water-based, textile, embossing and metallic pads, as well as large Deco pads and stick-shaped pads. Use them with rubber and wooden stamps to add designs to postcards, announcements, your planner or a T-shirt. Each range has a different type of ink and is suited to different surfaces, so choose your pad according to what you want to stamp. You'll find stamps and stamp sets in the parent Stamps category.

Which ink pads should you choose?

• Izink Quick Dry – pigment ink for paper and card that dries within 1 minute (metallic shades take a little longer). Use it for postcards, announcements and invitations.
• Izink Dye – water-based ink for thicker paper, with a drying time of 1 to 2 minutes. You can dilute it with water or watercolour paints, then mix and layer the shades to create backgrounds. Each pad gives you around 150 impressions and can be refilled.
• Izink Textile – pigment ink for cotton, linen and silk. It dries in 5 to 15 minutes; set the stamped design by ironing it for 5 minutes, and you can then machine-wash the fabric at 40 °C.
• Izink Embossing – slow-drying pigment ink that you cover with embossing powder, then heat to create a raised 3D impression.
• Izink Metal – gold, silver and copper ink pads with a metallic sheen.
• Izink Deco – a large 8 × 8 cm pad with matt, quick-drying pigment ink that becomes water-resistant once dry. Use it with a stamp or stencil on card, wood, cork, masonry or walls.
• Izink Touch – a stick-shaped ink pad with two ends, each measuring 1 cm, one in a lighter shade and the other in a darker shade. It lets you apply ink precisely to a particular part of your stamp and is also suitable for heat embossing.

Why choose a set of ink pads?

A set gives you a whole palette of colours in one go. Stampo Izink Pigment contains 10 pads measuring 5 × 5 cm in basic, bright or pastel colours. You can use them on paper, card, wood and fabric, setting the stamped design on fabric by ironing it. Izink Quick Dry comes in sets of 5 pads in summer, spring and Christmas colours, as well as sets of 10 in pastel shades. The manufacturer describes Quick Dry and Stampo Izink Pigment pads as non-toxic and suitable for children aged 3 and over, making them suitable for crafting with children, school projects and scrapbooking.
