DOD Drag Guitar Effect

The DOD Drag is a fully analog delay pedal built around a bucket-brigade device (BBD) engine that is deliberately driven far beyond its recommended operating range. It offers up to 750 ms of warm analog repeats, which the Rubberneck mode can stretch to around 1.5 seconds, and six rotary controls: Time, Feedback, Filter, Level, Drift and Friction. Drift sets modulation depth and speed across three zones — light, medium and heavy — while the Curve button cycles four modulation waveforms: sine, reverse saw, square and random, each shown by the colour of the Curve LED. Friction is the pedal's signature feature and covers three patent-pending categories engaged by holding the footswitch: SlideStop brings the delay to a screeching halt with a shallow or deep pitch dive, Rubberneck bends the repeats one octave up or down, and Evade adds the HopStop and Slide-n-Go performance moves. Turning Feedback fully clockwise pushes the circuit into self-oscillation, and Filter tames the aliasing, noise and degradation that appear when the BBDs are redlined. Three bypass modes — true hard-wired bypass, buffered bypass with tails and buffered bypass with tails and dry-kill — are selected with a two-second press of the Curve button. The aluminium top-jack chassis keeps patch cables out of the way, a 3.5 mm jack adds tap tempo, oscillation, Friction and modulation control through the optional FS3X footswitch, and the reversible patent-pending StagePlate offers a tire-tread skid pad on one side and a hook surface for pedalboard mounting on the other.
