Before buying, compare the compartment's internal dimensions with the exact device model rather than relying only on the laptop screen size. The equipment should stay in place, with cables and the adapter kept away from the controls. A padded back and adjustable shoulder straps make longer journeys more comfortable.

What to check

Look at the reinforced base, corner protection and the way the main compartment closes. If you carry the backpack often, try it with the usual weight of your equipment; an empty backpack tells you little about comfort. A classic DJ bag may suit a larger controller or hand carrying better.
