Crosley Montero Black Portable Speaker

Portable Bluetooth Speaker with Retro Style and Built-In Phone Charger

The Montero Bluetooth Speaker Black brings Crosley's signature vintage-inspired design language into a portable Bluetooth speaker built for everyday wireless listening. Inside the cabinet, a 30 W amplifier drives stereo output that fills a living room, kitchen or patio without needing a separate hi-fi stack. The Montero Bluetooth Speaker Black is the right choice for listeners who want a single speaker that streams music, accepts a wired source and doubles as an emergency phone charger.

Bluetooth 5.0 handles the wireless side, giving a stable link to phones, tablets and laptops while keeping power draw low so the internal battery lasts longer between charges. For older devices or anyone who prefers a wired feed, a 3.5 mm AUX IN jack sits on the back panel alongside a full-size USB port that can be used both for playback from a memory stick and for topping up a smartphone.

What Makes the Montero Stand Out

What separates this model from a generic portable Bluetooth speaker is the dual-role USB port: it plays audio from a USB drive and simultaneously charges a connected phone, turning the speaker into a small power bank on the go. The floor-standing cabinet shape, finished in black, doubles as a piece of décor that fits a bookshelf, side table or workbench rather than looking like a piece of gym-bag tech.

Sound Performance — Power and Frequency Range

Power and frequency response together determine how loud a portable speaker can play and how much of the audible spectrum it reproduces. The 30 W output is enough to drive background music at a dinner party or a focused listening session in a mid-sized room, while the 18 KHz upper frequency response keeps treble detail audible on cymbals, vocals and acoustic instruments.

• Maximum Output Power: 30 W — stereo amplification loud enough for a room or small gathering
• Frequency Response: 18 KHz — extends high enough to retain treble detail in music playback
• Audio Output Mode: Stereo — left/right channel separation for a wider soundstage than mono speakers

Wireless and Wired Connectivity

Connectivity options decide what sources a speaker can accept. Bluetooth 5.0 covers the wireless path with a longer effective range and lower latency than older Bluetooth generations, while the 3.5 mm AUX IN keeps the speaker useful with legacy audio sources that lack Bluetooth. The USB port adds both playback from a memory stick and a charging output for a phone.

• Bluetooth Version: 5.0 — stable wireless streaming with reduced power consumption
• AUX IN: 3.5 mm Jack — wired input for MP3 players, computers and older audio gear
• USB Port: Yes — supports USB playback and doubles as a phone charger

Battery and Portability

Battery capacity is what lets a portable speaker live up to its name. A 6000 mAh rechargeable cell provides enough stored energy for hours of cable-free playback and still leaves reserve capacity to top up a phone through the USB port. The floor-standing form factor keeps the speaker stable on a table or shelf while remaining light enough to carry between rooms or out to the garden.

• Battery Capacity: 6000 mAh — supports extended wireless playback and phone charging on the move
• Battery Powered: Yes — fully wireless operation away from mains power
• Mounting Type: Floor Standing — stable placement on shelves, tables and worktops

Who the Montero Bluetooth Speaker Is For

The Montero Bluetooth Speaker Black is the right choice for casual listeners and home-office users who want a single speaker that handles streaming, wired playback and phone charging without extra accessories. It suits anyone moving between rooms, working from a kitchen table, or relaxing on a patio where a mains socket is not always within reach. The retro Crosley styling also makes it a natural fit for vinyl-record owners who already collect Crosley turntables and want a matching Bluetooth speaker on the same shelf.

Crosley Brand and Product Story

Crosley has built its reputation around retro-styled audio products that blend mid-century American design cues with modern wireless technology, from suitcase turntables to portable Bluetooth speakers. The Montero line extends that approach into a rechargeable speaker format, and the brand has also released limited-edition colourways of the Montero in collaboration with cultural partners such as the Ballantine's x Crosley with RZA edition, showing how the platform is used as a canvas for special runs alongside the standard black finish.
