CA Plugins Pentaphonic Synthesizer (Digital product)

Pentaphonic Synthesizer — A Rare 1981 Classic, Reborn in Software

The Cherry Audio Pentaphonic Synthesizer plugin revives the ultra-rare 1981 Gleeman Pentaphonic — fewer than 70 originals were ever built. It reproduces the original's digitally controlled oscillators and Curtis analog filter, capturing the thick, lush tone that made the hardware legendary. Polyphony expands from five voices to 2-to-16, and it runs as AU, VST, VST3, AAX, and standalone on macOS and Windows.

What Makes This Plugin Stand Out

What sets this plugin apart is its rare Complex 1 and Complex 2 stair-stepped waveforms, producing bell-like overtones reminiscent of early FM synthesis. A second LFO, oscillator sync, pulse-width modulation, and a 22-effect global FX chain add modern depth to the vintage character.

Who the Pentaphonic Synthesizer Is For

Producers who want lush pads, strings, and leads without hunting for unobtainable vintage hardware will find this plugin a perfect match. Beginners get 375+ presets plus an arpeggiator and step sequencer for instant pattern-making. Experienced players get velocity, aftertouch, and 14 keyboard-pressure-modulated parameters.
