Audio-Technica AT8490 UniMount 5" Gooseneck for the ATM350a

The AT8490 is the replacement gooseneck arm for Audio-Technica's ATM350a clip-on instrument microphone system. At 5" / 127 mm long, it gives players enough reach to aim the cardioid capsule at a brass bell, drum rim, or piano lid. The arm pairs with the AT8491U Universal Clip-on Mount, AT8491P Magnetic Piano Mount, AT8491D Drum Mount, and AT8491W Woodwind Mount.

What it does on stage

The rugged gooseneck holds its shape once bent, so the mic stays where the player aims it. An integral foam windscreen wraps the capsule to cut breath and wind noise, and the octagonal base locks the arm into one of several positions. Audio-Technica backs the AT8490 with a 2-year manufacturer warranty.
