88 Keys | page 2

Cases for 88-key keyboards protect long and often heavier instruments during storage and transport. A full key count does not mean one standard size, because a stage piano, digital piano and controller can differ in depth and height. Alongside the dimensions, account for the instrument's weight and how it will be moved. Choose the case as part of the complete transport setup.

Load capacity comes before the size label

Compare the instrument weight with the rated capacity of the case, handles, straps and any wheels listed for the product. The base and ends should provide protection suited to the way you travel. A soft case may be lighter for ordinary journeys, but assess its protection from the construction of the specific product. For frequent loading, also inspect the strength and placement of the grips.

Plan the route before you buy

  • Measure the car boot, lift, doorways and the place where the loaded case will be stored.
  • Check the external dimensions; internal measurements alone are not enough for transport planning.
  • For wheels, verify that the selected model actually has them and what surfaces they are intended for.
  • If two people are needed for safe lifting, the handles must be positioned where both can reach them.

The internal space should follow the instrument's dimensions without pressing on keys or controls. Store cables, pedals and power equipment only in separate compartments designed for accessories. Before ordering, look for the exact keyboard or stage-piano model in the compatibility list; if it is absent, rely on complete dimensions and manufacturer confirmation.
