Aborted is a death metal band from Belgium, formed in 1995 in Waregem. Led by vocalist and founder Sven de Caluwé, the group also includes guitarists Ian Jekelis and Dan Konráðsson, with current members hailing from Belgium, Iceland, and the United States. Known for their intense blend of death metal and grindcore, Aborted has released twelve studio albums, six EPs, and a live DVD. Critics have praised the band for their technical precision and extreme brutality, often calling them leaders in the deathgrind scene.
