The Kelly Family is a European-American band made up of several generations of the Kelly family, primarily nine siblings who were sometimes joined by their parents on stage. Known for their mix of rock, pop, and folk music, they performed songs in English, Spanish, German, and Basque. The group gained major popularity across continental Europe, especially in Germany, the Benelux countries, Scandinavia, and parts of Eastern and Southern Europe, selling over 20 million albums since the 1980s. Their image was defined by a bohemian lifestyle, traveling in a bus and houseboat, and wearing eclectic homemade clothing with long hair. Though hugely successful in Europe, they remained virtually unknown in the United States. Since 2000, The Kelly Family has mostly performed as smaller groups or solo artists, moving toward a more mainstream style.
