Michal Ambrož was a Czech rock singer, guitarist, composer, and lyricist, born in 1954 in Havlíčkův Brod. He gained recognition as the frontman of influential bands including Jasná Páka, Hudba Praha, Divoký srdce, and Michal Ambrož a Hudba Praha. Besides his musical career, he was active as a radio host on Radio Beat and managed a small hydroelectric power plant on the Sázava river. Ambrož was known for his monarchist views and was related to painter Jan Zrzavý. He passed away in October 2022, and his legacy is closely tied to the Czech new wave music scene.
