Nux Komp Core Deluxe Guitar Effect

Multi-function analog compressor pedal featuring a wide variety of compressor tones. 3 different clip modes and precise knobs provide a wide range of taste. Sustain, Attack and Blend knobs allow you to have a good control perspective on signal and you can give a good sustain with low noise and adjust input sensitivity precisely. A volume knob and a blend knob to bring in or out the original dry signal and a simple 3-way mini toggle to choose the compression intensity without sound coloration come together. Clip Mode (Clip, Clean, Normal) Low output pick-ups doesn't hit the threshold, using Komp Core Deluxe on Clip Mode suits single-coil guitars better.

Jazz is my speciality, so I'm mostly interested in clean sounds. I'm also currently interested in two uses for a compressor: always on, to make the sound more transparent and, particularly when comping with block chords, to bring out the individual notes more clearly, or as a clearly audible effect, as can be heard, for example, in Kevin Eubanks' work (A New Day on Prism by Dave Holland). This is my first attempt at using compressor pedals. I was interested in the Nux Komp Core Deluxe because I was very impressed with the Tape Core Deluxe, which beat out much more expensive options. Unfortunately, my impression of the Komp Core Deluxe isn't all that positive. What I like: - the switch for the different modes; in clean mode you always get a completely undistorted sound, even with high levels of compression; even voicings with dissonant intervals (especially minor seconds) are reproduced very cleanly - the fairly wide range of different sounds that can be called up What I don't like: - the Komp Core Deluxe changes the sound even when it's turned off, it sounds a bit "shoeboxy"; a no go for me - even when it's turned on, the sound is colored and sounds less free and open, even in low to medium settings, so "always on" is not an option for me here - the blend control has no clearly noticeable effect Unfortunately, the device had to make its way back home.
