Echo and the Bunnymen are an influential English rock band formed in Liverpool in 1978 by Ian McCulloch, Will Sergeant, and Les Pattinson. Drummer Pete de Freitas joined in 1980, and the group quickly gained attention with their debut album Crocodiles, which reached the UK top 20. They achieved greater success with albums like Porcupine and Ocean Rain during the 1980s, earning major hits including The Cutter and The Killing Moon. After several lineup changes and a brief breakup, the band reunited in the late 1990s and have continued to record and tour, remaining a significant presence in alternative rock. In recent years, they've headlined events such as the Rockaway Beach Festival.
