Bass Drum Pads
Bass drum pads are used for the kick drum in an electronic kit and strongly influence foot technique. Stability, pedal compatibility and mechanical noise are important, especially if you practise in a flat. When choosing, check the playing surface, sensor response and whether the pad supports a single or double pedal.
Stability and vibration transfer
The kick pad should not move while playing and should react evenly even during quiet practice. At home, a firm mat or isolation under the pedal can help because vibration travels through the floor more than sound from the module. When replacing a pad in an existing kit, also check the input type on the module.
