Aerosmith

Aerosmith

Aerosmith is an iconic American rock band that formed in Boston in 1970. The classic lineup features Steven Tyler on vocals, Joe Perry and Brad Whitford on guitars, Tom Hamilton on bass, and Joey Kramer on drums. Known as "the Bad Boys from Boston" and sometimes called "America's Greatest Rock and Roll Band," Aerosmith built their sound on blues-based hard rock while blending in elements of pop rock, heavy metal, and rhythm and blues. Rising to fame in the 1970s with albums like Toys in the Attic and Rocks, Aerosmith produced classic hits such as Dream On, Sweet Emotion, and Walk This Way. After overcoming lineup changes and addiction struggles, the band made a celebrated comeback in the late 1980s, scoring hits through the nineties with songs like Dude Looks Like a Lady, Janie's Got a Gun, and Cryin'. Their 1998 ballad I Don't Want to Miss a Thing became their first number-one single. With over 150 million records sold worldwide, Aerosmith is one of the best-selling American rock acts in history. They have earned multiple Grammy Awards, numerous gold and platinum albums, and were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2001. Known for energetic live shows and a lasting impact on rock music, Aerosmith's influence spans generations. The band retired from touring in 2024 following Steven Tyler's vocal injury.
