Trick Drums

Cheap Trick is a pioneering American rock band from Rockford, Illinois, formed in 1970 by Rick Nielsen, Tom Petersson, Robin Zander, and Bun E. Carlos. Known for blending '60s pop melodies with '70s hard rock and a touch of punk, the group became one of the defining forces in power pop. They first found major success with their self-titled debut in 1977, followed by a breakthrough in Japan with In Color. Their 1979 live album At Budokan, featuring the hit "I Want You to Want Me," brought them widespread fame in the United States, while songs like "Surrender," "Dream Police," and "The Flame" became staples of their catalog. Despite ups and downs, Cheap Trick has remained a constant presence in rock, selling over 20 million albums and influencing generations of musicians. Still active today, Cheap Trick continues to record and tour, with Zander, Nielsen, and Petersson in the current lineup. The band was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2016.
