Synergy SYN-1 Preamp/Rack Amplifier
- Modularity: The SYN-1 allows you to unlock the full potential of your Synergy preamp modules. Simply slide in a different Synergy preamp module, and you can access a whole new array of boutique amp tones. Whether you want to change your sound for recording, live performances, or experimentation, the SYN-1 makes it easy.
- Direct Recording and Performance Capabilities: By taking advantage of the SYN-1’s direct XLR output, you can send the real sound and feel of some of the world’s most iconic tube amplifiers right to your track or front-of-house. This is true tube-driven tone, not a digital emulation. The cabinet simulation on the XLR output ensures studio-grade tone, and you can even bypass it if you prefer to use your own impulse response.
- Fryette Sag Control: The SYN-1 is equipped with a front-mounted Sag control, designed in collaboration with legendary amp designer Steven Fryette. This control allows you to dial in the preamp’s feel and response, providing an authentic tube amp experience.
- Versatility: The SYN-1 offers several ways to integrate boutique tone into your setup:
- Go Direct: Use the SYN-1’s direct out (XLR or ¼”) into a recording console, concert venue mixer, or powered monitor.
- Add Channels: Add two new “boutique” channels to your current amp via the series effects loop.
- Run from Direct Out: If your current amp lacks an effects loop, you can run from the direct out of the Synergy into your amp’s input (note that this method does not bypass your preamp; it only gives you the 2 channels of your Synergy module).
