The first and most important problem with the guitar is that the bridge-baby assembly was drilled at least 3 mm higher at the factory. This is a serious and not easily fixable problem, since the intonation could not be solved at all with the factory assembly. I solved the problem in the simplest way; I wanted to replace the bridge in the first place, so I chose a bridge assembly where the bridge-baby can be adjusted in a wider interval. Even so, I had to cheat. The keys are good, the electronics are also completely good, an important aspect for me was the 2 volume/2 tone pots, which is rare in this price category. The painting/finishing is also completely good. The neck was comfortable, there was hardly any sanding on the frets, the neck was well adjustable, the sound of the pickups was not bad. Other negatives are that the neck/body spacer was a simple piece of chipboard, and the assembly was similarly undemanding. The body profile bulge typical of Les Pauls is completely absent here, but it is also typical of cheaper Epiphones, so it is not so much a fault. Overall, with some tweaking and a lot of work, a good guitar can be built from it. For me, the main negative was the inability to adjust the intonation, which could only be remedied by tweaking, and the undemanding assembly, which cost a lot of extra work. For this reason, 2 stars, no more!
