Zbyněk Hejda was a Czech poet, essayist, and translator born in Hradec Králové in 1930 and passed away in Prague in 2013. He is recognized for his poetry and essays, as well as his acclaimed translations of English and German authors, including Emily Dickinson, Georg Trakl, and Gottfried Benn.
