Jackson X Series Rhoads RRX24-MG7 IL Satin Black Electric guitar

The 7-string Jackson X Series Rhoads RRX24-MG7 is a slick music-making machine innovatively engineered for modern metal and other styles that require a high-performance instrument. We've poured all of our hard-earned knowledge into this guitar to create a beast of an instrument that represents over 40 years of experience creating extreme tools for extreme players.

The RRX24-MG7 features a 26.5" scale length, poplar body and through-body maple neck with scarf joint and graphite reinforcement to guard against climate-induced warping. Hosting 24 jumbo frets and Jackson's distinctive pearloid sharkfin inlays, the 12"-16" compound radius bound laurel fingerboard curves more dramatically at the nut for easy chording and flattens out as it approaches the neck joint for low-action bends without fretting out.

Designed for an extended sonic palette, this 7-string beast is fueled with EMG 81-7H bridge and EMG 85-7H neck humbucking pickups that blend powerful intensity, fluid sustain and muscular growl for blistering leads that slice through even the densest mix. Command your sound with three-way pickup blade switching, two volume knobs and a single tone knob, and count on rock-solid tuning stability throughout the most aggressive dive bombs or harmonic squeals with the Floyd Rose Special 7-string double-locking tremolo bridge system.

Known for slick style that refuses to sacrifice one iota of functionality, the Jackson X Series Rhoads RRX24-MG7 makes a bold statement onstage in a Satin Black finish with Primer Gray Bevels, reverse Jackson pointed 7-in-line black headstock and black hardware.

Finish

Finish: Satin

The satin finish is popular for its ability to combine the properties of both a glossy and matte finish. This type of finish provides a soft sheen, less intense than gloss but more pronounced than matte. This creates a smooth to touch, lightly reflective surface which gives an elegant and sophisticated appearance. The satin finish is ideal for those looking for a balance between visual appeal and convenience, as it can hide small imperfections and fingerprints better than glossy surfaces.

Body

Body: Poplar

Poplar is a medium-light wood that produces a well-balanced tone with an emphasis on the mid-range and soft bass. It has a smooth and neutral tonal characteristics. This makes it a versatile material for a wide range of musical styles. Poplar is often used for its affordability and consistent tonal characteristics.

Neck

Neck: Maple

Maple is known for its strength and stability, making it ideal for necks that need to resist bending and warping.

Fretboard: Laurel

Laurel is a medium hard wood with a warm brown tone and fine texture. It provides a well-balanced tone with a softer response, contributing to a comfortable playing experience. The Laurel fingerboard is an affordable alternative to more expensive woods, while offering good stability and a pleasing appearance.

Pickups Configuration: HH

The humbucker-humbucker configuration means that the guitar is equipped with two humbucker pickups. It offers a powerful, full sound with high output and low noise, ideal for rock and metal.
