Ibanez RG421DX-TWS Twilight Shade Electric guitar

The RG is the most famous and distinctive guitar in the Ibanez portfolio. Three decades of metal have shaped this high-performance machine, honing it for speed, precision, and assertiveness and making it a true standard for modern guitarists. Whether with a fixed hardtail bridge or one of the renowned Ibanez tremolos, the RG always stands for absolute control and technical reliability. Equipped with the Wizard III Maple neck, which is thin, flat, and particularly fast to play, it also offers the necessary stability for demanding playing styles. The 24-fret fingerboard allows for a range of over two full octaves and opens up maximum tonal flexibility. The Jatoba fretboard with its reddish-brown appearance delivers a rich midrange with clear, precise highs, while jumbo frets promote an effortless playing feel – especially during fast single-note passages. The meranti body complements these characteristics with a balanced sound that is characterized by slightly lowered mids and a pleasantly warm, round fundamental tone. The Quantum H-H pickups impress with fast bass response, clear note separation even at high speeds, and a powerful, defined mid and high range. The setup is rounded off by the F106 hardtail bridge, which not only optimizes sustain but also allows for easy-to-access, individual string height adjustment. The result is a guitar designed for speed, precision, and fluidity—uncompromising, powerful, and typically Ibanez RG.
Тype

Тype: Superstrat

The Superstrat is a type of electric guitar based on the design of the Stratocaster, but modified for a more aggressive style of playing, especially in the hard rock and metal genres. It has a solid body, often with powerful humbucker pickups for a more powerful and distorted sound. Superstrat guitars often have an improved tremolo system (like the Floyd Rose) and a faster neck for technical playing. This type of guitar is designed for the modern guitarist who demands more versatility and performance.

Finish

Finish: Polished

The glossy finish gives any surface an elegant and luxurious look. This type of finish is achieved by applying several layers of lacquer or resin, which are then polished to a high gloss. This provides a smooth, reflective finish, enhancing color and structure of substrate. The glossy finish not only improves aesthetics, but also protects against dust, moisture and minor scratches.

Body

Body: Meranti

Meranti is a medium-weight wood that produces a warm and balanced tone with soft bass and rounded mids. It has similar characteristics to mahogany, but is slightly lighter. Because of its affordability and good tonal characteristics, it is used in guitars as an alternative to more expensive woods, providing solid sustain and resonance.

Neck

Neck: Maple

Maple is known for its strength and stability, making it ideal for necks that need to resist bending and warping.

Fretboard: Jatoba

Jatoba is a hardwood with a warm, reddish tone that produces a bright, articulate sound with good response. The Jatoba fingerboard is valued for its durability and strength, while providing a smooth and stable feel. It is an affordable alternative to more expensive woods that still provides a quality sound and attractive appearance.

Pickups Configuration: HH

The humbucker-humbucker configuration means that the guitar is equipped with two humbucker pickups. It offers a powerful, full sound with high output and low noise, ideal for rock and metal.
